The current Makin organ in the church has given great service for over 31 years but is now showing signs of suffering a terminal fault. The Parochial Church Council (PCC) strongly believe that organ accompaniment for our services and other events is a key part of who we are as a church, and has resolved that we should seek to proactively replace the organ before it fails.
A small team has researched, examined and played a range of potential new instruments and unanimously agreed that the smallest model in the current Makin range (the Rydal 2-25T) is the best quality instrument for our church. This organ has been designed in collaboration with Professor Sir Ian Tracey (the organist at Liverpool Cathedral) and uses carefully selected digital samples from a range of organs to ensure that it delivers the unique sound of a true English organ.
Please help us raise these funds so that organ music can continue to be part of our historic church. Donations can be made in several ways:
Gift Aid: we are very keen to claim Gift Aid on as many donations as possible. If donating by cheque please complete and return a Gift Aid declaration if you have not previously done so for other donations to the church. Forms are available in church, and will be linked here shortly. Gift Aid declarations should appear automatically when using the card payment link. Thank you for your support |
